It's that time of the year again, and I was given the opportunity to work on the new publicity film for the upcoming Major Event 2016, organised by Imperial College Singapore Society, titled My Singapore Girl. It's a Singapore twist on My Fair Lady! The style of the video is less serious than typical videos I produce, and it was interesting to see how it turned out.
Also this is is the first time I tested out my new lavalier microphone - the smartLav by RØDE. I think its pretty good quality for its price. The only catch is that it works best with iOS devices, but if you have an iPhone, you could easily pop it into one of the actor's pockets or place the mic somewhere in a discrete centred location to pick up audio from multiple people (but of course a boom mic would be better for cases like this). Special thanks to my film crew this year for all the hard work and technical support: Nathanael Tan, Chan Bingjie, Ivan Ong, Dave Tan, Nicholas Sim. Check out some of the photos taken on filming day: Comments are closed.
