The Beauty of Our Tiny Red Dot - A SG50 Special Tribute
Hey everyone, do check out my latest work which is a special SG50 tribute to Singapore! (: This short montage comprises entirely original footage of various places taken all around Singapore, highlighting some examples of commonly unnoticed beauty of our small island. Special thanks to Dave Tan for photograph contributions of NDP Preview 2015.
In 2015 we celebrate Singapore's 50th anniversary of independence. We have come a long way since then as a country that was not meant to be. This was driven by the sheer collective will and spirit of our founding fathers and the early generation of Singaporeans.
Very often in today's modern Singapore, we tend to naturally be a bit more individualistic as our work and life gets heavier and busier. And as that happens we tend to complain more as well, as our expectations of what the norm should be becomes more demanding . In the spirit of the 50th year of our existence, let us put aside all these negative sentiments #mrtbreakdown and celebrate how far we have progressed as One People, One Nation and One Singapore. (: #SG50
Through word of mouth, I was given the opportunity to collaborate with the NUS Medical Student Society to produce the opening conference video for the 25th East Asian Medical Student Conference (EAMSC) held in 2012. The video was played at the beginning of the introductory talk given to medical student representatives from all over Asia, and so I thought a cool Call of Duty/military briefing themed introduction will be a good way to engage all the students from the various countries (the countries mentioned in the video were the countries that attended the conference). The video then took them through what they were to expect for the days ahead of them.
